Yesterday, Disney released publicly more details about the long awaited feature, Disney Genie Service. To our surprise, they have added Lightning Lane that will replace Fast Passes. This will also include changes to the Disney DAS Pass. More information to follow our agent training on Friday, but here is what we know now:
The Disney Genie Service is complimentary and has upgraded features (Lightning Lane). The feature will be built into the My Disney Experience App (Disney World) and Disneyland App.
What’s complimentary?
This app will help make personalized itineraries by recommending attractions, dining, and entertainment based on what you select as your interests.
You’ll be able to find your favorites at a glance by creating your own tip board on this feature. This will allow the system to show you predictions on future wait times to help create the best day ever!
All of this plus the features on MDE such as virtual queues, mobile ordering, dining reservations, etc will make for a more spontaneous and seamless day at the Walt Disney World Resort!
DAS Pass holders will be able to pick return times through the app and set up their pass prior to arrival. More info to come specifically pertaining to the DAS Pass Program.
What’s NOT complimentary?
There will be two paid optional upgrades to Disney Genie that includes the Lightning Line (Fast Passes).
Disney Genie+ Service– for $20 at Disneyland $15 a day at Disney World you can chose one ride at a time to skip the line throughout the day (subject to availability). You’ll also have Disney Photo Pass with unlimited photo downloads of your pictures around the park.
Individual Attraction Selection– Schedule a time to arrive at up to two highly demanded attractions each day using the Lightning Lane entrance. You can do this across the parks if you have park hopper passes as well!
Between having a travel agent, and using this new app feature, the possibilities are endless on creating the best experience for your Disney Vacation! We are happy to offer the services and see if upgrading to the Disney Genie+ is needed for your trip and what to look for!
